Explore Yale O'Leary Whidden's Art
Yale O'Leary "Larry" Whidden (1940-2018) crafted bronze and copper sculpture.
Whidden worked with a propane/acetylene torch, with sculpture focusing primarily on indigenous Florida wildlife.
He also created four 10-12-foot Native American figures for the original (80s) Four Seasons Resort in Vail, Colorado.
In 2001 the Tampa Bay Times commented on his "perfectly proportioned" wildlife made out of copper and melted bronze droplets.
